Get Involved
There are three ways you can get involved in the Posh Opp Shoppe to support the Jewish Children's Aid Society (JCAS).
The proceeds from The Posh Opp Shoppe provide funding for children with special needs, catering for additional learning requirements and enabling integration into mainstream schooling that these children would be otherwise unable to attend. By shopping with us, you are not only going to find some of the best bargains and unique items in Melbourne, but you will also be aiding us in making a valuable contribution to the community.
Volunteering Opportunities
Have a few spare hours in your week? Why not join the team and help in one of the Posh Opp Shoppes.
Apply to join us and let us know what you would like to do and when you are available to help out.
Donate Pre-Loved Goods
We are always on the lookout for new supplies to help recycle and raise much-needed funds. If you are de-cluttering your home, downsizing or clearing a deceased estate, we will happily take clothes (washed please), shoes, bric-a-brac, jewellery, dinnerware, toys, furniture and more in good, undamaged condition.
If you are dropping off your goods, you can use the receiving door in the lane behind the Elsternwick store during trading hours. If your items are too bulky or heavy, please contact us to let us know what you've got and we'll arrange a drop off time or even a pickup.
Let's Make A Change
If you don't have any goods to donate to the Posh Opp Shoppe right now and there's nothing in the shop that catches your eye, you can still help by donating directly to JCAS, and support inclusion of children with disabilities into mainstream schools. Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
